Three regional colorways and three special edition colorways were released. They consisted of the East, West, and Midwest edition for regular and West, East, and Olympic for the SE (special edition). Never before seen on a basketball shoe was a material called tech flex, which is used in the automobile industry. Tech flex is a material which can stretch, and since it is used on the Air Jordan XIX it gave your foot the comfort you need.

The Air Jordan 19 (XIX) Original (OG) Low Black / Metallic Silver Varsity Red were released on August 7, 2004, ad retailed for $115. They feature a low cut design, as well as a black upper constructed from a durabuck type material. Although they lack the patent leather front end that the Air Jordan 19 (XIX) is known for, they feature the notorious elephant print on the toe cap, as well as a thicker midsole area, which provides great support and comfort. They are not the best for basketball, as the low cut design does not provide too much support around the ankle.
