Air Jordan XIX (19) Original OG Black / Varsity Red

The Air Jordan 19 was designed by Tate Kuerbis and the inspiration for it came from the deadliest snake the black mamba. Two original colorways where released: white/flint grey and black/red. Three regional colorways and three special edition colorways were released. They consisted of the East, West, and Midwest edition for regular and West, East, and Olympic for the SE (special edition). Never before seen on a basketball shoe was a material called tech flex, which is used in the automobile industry. Tech flex is a material which can stretch, and since it is used on the Air Jordan XIX it gave your foot the comfort you need.

The Air Jordan 19 (XIX) Original (OG) Black / Chrome Varsity Red were released on May 8, 2004, and retailed for $165. The feature an all black upper with red accents, and are constructed from materials including leather and patent leather. They were inspired by and modeled after the most dangerous snake on earth, the Black Mamba, and truly exemplify the level of greatness that only Michael himself could attain. They feature a phylon midsole with a double stack Air Sole Unit in the heel, combined with a full length zoom air bag, as well as a 3/4 length carbon fibre shank for added support. The outsole features a solid, modified version of the herringbone pattern, which provides great traction on the hardwood, as well as new flex groove details for added flexability. Other technical specifications include a patent leather toe box, tech flex upper with velcro heel strap, plastic lace locks, Jumpman on heel and midfoot.
